Here's a quick, 4min video from one of the Ft. Wayne tuner shops showing a few of their cars doing 1/4 mile runs on the dyno and a few pretty tight burnouts, including one from the chief mechanic's personal ProCharged Z28... 126k on the clock, 550rwhp on the stock bottom end.
Also check out This vid of a 790whp/750tq TT Z06 (watch the speedo FLY on the in-car track run ) and This page with a customer's ProCharged, LS1-powered RX7 that makes 563whp

that was a cool video, that orange sc'd mustang was my favorite and it sounded pretty mean.

I thought that when you do a dyno run you are supposed to do the pull in 4th gear, why in the first video are they running the cars through the gears? those cars sure do jump around on the dyno when the shift.

You normally do do a dyno run in 4th as that is the gear in most cars that equals 1:1 ratio with the tranny and tires. But you usually have to start in first and then shift your way to 4th before the run starts as I doubt there are many cars that can just start in 4th.
