The check engine light came on last week so we had AutoZone pull the code. They said it was P1400. According the the FAQ page on here, it is "Differential Pressure Feedback Electronic Sensor circuit Low Voltage".

Any clue what that means in english?

The dealership wants to charge us $90 to run a diagnostic on it. Is that necessary?

Thanks!

Steve

sounds like the DPFE sensor that is on the Contour

it works with the egr valve and I bet if it is the same thing the part is also the same thing and should be about $40 to $60 at the dealer
