Got my 99 Ford Contour SE 2.0 4-cylinder DOHC back from a very bad and expensive experience with a car shop, and I find that one of the clamps for my air filter hood has been bent up and had the hood closed on it. I found a metal file under the hood too.

I also found 2 plugs that are not plugged into anything.

1) Just in front of the coolant reservoir...

2 Passenger side just under the wiper fluid reservoir...

Anybody know where these should be plugged in?

Thanks!

That might be it. Just wanted to make sure they weren't supposed to be plugged in somewhere.

You'd probably have something telling you it wasn't hooked up. If nothing is obvious, there's probably nothing there.

1st picture looks like it may be the coolant level sensor. It plugs into the lower front of the coolant bottle, very near where it shows up in the picture.

the first one, to me, looks like the "throttle stretcher" my 95 had for the traction control, although IIRC the computer controls that in the 98+...maybe they never changed the harness?

Yeah the 2nd pic is for fog lights I got the same thing. Also if you look under your driver seat (if you don't have a power seat) you'll find that there is a plug for a power seat, mine has that as well, and I'm gonna buy me a power seat to put in it.

I used the fuse spot to power a stereo, if you put in the right fuse, I believe the seat circuit will work.
