Flushing a tranny doesn't do a BACK FLUSH. Where did you get this info from?
The equipment used for a flush connects to the cooling lines and pumps into the transmission the same amount of oil the transmission pumps out into the machine. There is nothing special about this machine. It just replaces the old oil with new oil.
What it is very good at is removing suspended particles from the transmission by capturing them within the old oil it is removing.

Cruise control relies very heavily on the Torque Converter Clutch. If it is not working properly, you will get the blinking OD OFF light very quickly when using your cruise control.

It replaces fluid with new fluid in reverse to get the junk off the screen. If it flows the same direction as it would when the atx is running, whats the point in even doing it? You would have clean fluid and a clogged screen. It also helps make sure the TC is flushed out.

Explain to me how you pump oil back through the transmission oil pump BACKWARDS ????
Or did you think it was as easy as it sounds ???
Flush does exactly what it is meant to do. Flush out the old oil and replace it with fresh oil. It does NOTHING else. It also only works with the engine running.

I don't know why I was thinking that. I must of though something stupid like that to justify spending 160 on my last flush. ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif) I did some reading and you are correct (should of did that before I tried to sound like I used one before) I was thinking it was done with the car off. ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/troutslap.gif) JD
