What's the best brand of gasoline to buy? I always buy 93 octane for my CSVT, but I buy it from whatever station is cheapest or closest to me. I was wondering what are the best brands of gasoline to buy - aside from the obvious fact that suspiciously cheap local gas stations are to be avoided.

I've heard Mobil is better. I don't know if that's true. I doubt it.

Is there any real difference? Define "best"? What are you looking for? If you are looking for lowest cost 93, then you are already getting the "best"...

I always used to buy Mobil fuels, but now I use a switch between Citgo, Gulf, and Hess, depending on which is cheaper. It all comes from the same place...

Not sure about the best, but the refineries that leave in the most sulphur in Canada are Esso. Sunoco has the least on average (there is one with even less, but they only have stations on the east coast)

Chevron with Techron.... since there are none here, it's between Sheetz and WaWa. Just because they're a more big name brand and probably do not want to mess up their gas like some of the smaller stations would.

i would vote for Shell, Mobil, Chevron and 76. we dont have much else, besides ARCO and many small companies here in so cal. any company that heavily sponsors auto racing should be a safe bet.
