First of, I did the search but didn't find an answer.. I need some help locating EGR VALVE PRESSURE SENSOR before I replace it... Where is it and what kind of tools do I need to get to it? A picture of where it is in terms or EGR would really help. Thanks

on the fire wall......a rectangular metallic device (at least it is on the 95's).......has a couple of vacuum lines and a couple of wires connected to it.

Thanks you guys, I replaced a part about a week ago and I can feel and see (or not see - the cell light is gone the difference..

It was a real-easy fix. Sensor is right by the throttle body... Just gotta remove the accordian tube and the TB cover and the rest is a piece of cake!

Thanks for the help.

P.S. I'm like the 10th person (I know of) here to change his DPFE.. If it's such a crappy part, Ford needs to stop being the greedy ba$tards they are and recall the damn part!

Ford has DPFE trouble on a lot of their cars, not just the contours. I just bought one for my 2000 taurus a couple of days ago. I'm getting a CEL reading of EGR low flow. Ford had actually extended the warranty for the DPFE on the taurus, but I was still slightly over the limit. From what I can read, it seems that part of the problem is not the sensor itself going bad, but rather gunk getting inside the sensor through the tubes.

I also swapped the DPFE on my mystique yesterday. I pulled the sensor, and looked inside. It was totally stopped up with gunk. I then pulled the DPFE off of my wrecked contour, and it looked a lot better, so I swapped it onto the mystique.
