...of being an SVT and more importantly a FORD OWNER!
Gotta say that I have just about had enough of Ford bashing on these boards. What makes me even more sick is that most of the bashing comes from owners rather than trolls and whatnot. Don't like your Ford? Sell it and go buy a KIA, or else SHUT THE [censored] UP!
I am going to say that I am damn proud of driving my SVT. I am proud of owning an American made car, and that I have the Blue Oval in the front grill of my car.
No amount of bad publicity, stock market reports, pressure from my co-workers at Porsche or whatever will change this. I also own an X5 and an S2000, but isn't it ironic that the car that is worth the least is also my favorite, that I enjoy the most? And when I trade those in for a 911 Turbo, or whatever next year, you know what? I will STILL have my CSVT in the driveway...
FORD OWNER, AND PROUD OF IT!

The only reason I am NOT as proud as you is because ford has told me to go F myself on my warranty claim while it was still in warranty. Otherwise I would be wholeheartedly agreeing with you.

they did the same thing to me as well.
personally, i hold no need to own a certain brand of car. i buy particular vehicles based on thier own merits. i have never been a brand fanboy. though i do love my car!

I am proud of Ford too, and owning two of their Mazda line cars now.
When I get critical, it's because I love the company and want them to be even better, not because I hate them.

Ditto
And if you don't like my posts concerning the financial health of the American auto industry and in particular Ford you can STFU. As I continue to short the stock I can continue to earn money

I totally agree...I try to judge each model of car by itself...if it so happens that "all *insert brand* vehicles suck", and they actually do, it's coincidence. labels mean little, they performance/look/whatever of the car should speak for itself. almost every car company has at least one good ace that can be appreciated

well i think most people on these forums love their cars, and many of them love ford, so maybe this post should be a little more focused, but i agree that there is a decent ammount of contour/ford bashing by people on this forums, many of whom on contours.
most that i see is the fact that its a fwd platform, so i can get over that. while i do like many other cars, including GM's, Chrystlers, and some foreign cars, Ford hold a particular place in my heart mostly because so many people hate it.

The Ford owners on these boards have been loyalist for the most part. A lot of members have owned multiple Ford vehicles. The experiences that bought them to the point to "bash" Ford was cumulative. Regardless of how loyal you are, if you continually get shafted, you're not going to be pleased. I still own Ford, and I'm happy with my current ride and I was pleased with my CSVT, however, that doesn't mean that Ford didn't piss me off to the point where I considered giving up on them. I'm sticking with them for now, however, my confidence has been shaken. I've written letter EVERY time I've been discouraged with their service or products as I feel that's your responsibility as a consumer. Maybe if more of us did that, they would listen.
