Well, I finally found a shop to do my 3.0L ZX3 swap. Innovative Performance Technology in Statham Ga is in the process of performing the trick as we speak. These guys specialize in the Contour, Focus, and SHO, but will work on any import car or truck as well. They provide customer service that is an absolute relief from the typical performance shop "attitude". They will be doing there own research and development on new products for the contour, in fact they have a donor car now that will be the basis for many new parts. Finally we are going to get the aftermarket the contour deserves. Web address and telephone number to the shop is below in signature. Call them if you are interested in development of a certain product, product list or group buy inquiries. Tell them Bill sent ya'...

yeah, I'm talking to Shawn now about using my 99 SVT as a test and R&D car for new SVT parts. The plan is to slowly build it up from mild to wild with parts they design.
Lets try and support these guys so they don't go out of buisness.

Did you see the price of the quaife?? That is very cheap. Also, we also have fuel pressure regulators and A-pillar guage pods, something most of the other performance shops out there dont carry for the tour...

You can get Quaife delivered for less than that from CTA Automotive.

can't wait to see pics though. Hmm, one would think coil-overs and some higher spring rates would help out..... Wait, the FR200 had a SLA setup on it... wouldn't that mean it should be available from the FRPP catalog, just like all those Unobtainium pieces from the FR500?

i think the reason the aftermarket for this car is so small, is because it costs large amounts of money to achive very minimal gains... and people who buy $15k to $23k cars don't have large amounts of money, let alone large amounts of money to spend on small gains. plus with the way the obdII is, this car was just not made to be modded. roush did the best they could, and without seriously comprimising reliablity, modding this car is more trouble then it is worth... i am sure your shop will see that, and probably back out of the contour aftermarket... plus on top of that, the car has been killed.
