Hello everybody. New to the site and would like some feedback about a few products. I'm looking at getting an intake kit for my car, 99 Contour SE. I've looked at the BAT kit, the KKM kit, and the K&N and Injen induction kits. Which one would be a reasonable mod for a daily driver? I'm looking for something that would increase fuel mileage and not neccesarily power, but any added HP is welcome.

Stock, can't wait to do some mods!

How much money you wanting to spend? The tried and true K&N(RU-3530) and MAF adapter is what the majority of CEG uses. You're not going to notice a huge jump in MPG with any intake system, but you will net a couple of ponies.

the custom cougars one might be a bit more modding than he wants (if im thinking of the right one, cold air, dips down into fender?)
i had the KKM, loved it, but majority of the site uses the K&N mentioned above and would probably suit you just fine and possibly (gotta find that maf adaptor for it) cheaper too.
there have been many discussions on this topic, if you wanted you could search for any one of your options in this forum and probably find a discussion and opinions on that exact intake.

I had the KKM and upgraded to the AEM. Loving the airhorn air inlet, it helps more than you can imagine!!! Just need to make a heat shield now...
