Ok,
I am curious as to where to look for the trim peice that goes between the steering wheel column and the dash.
It sits just below the speedometer and covers the gap when you use the tilte on the wheel.
I dont know how else to explain it.
Does anyone have one or know of someone who does?
Thanks

It is attached to the instrument surround. You need the entire black piece to fix it.

It is part of the black gauge bezel. The new ones are greatly improved. At one time, Ford had a repair kit that replace only the broken part that goes between the dash and the steering column. It may be worth asking your parts guy to check the TSB's and come up with a part number.
I know that I posted the part number, but it was so long ago that it may have been back on the Contour-L list.
