I have the check engine light on for bank 2 sensor one that is located under the coil pack. Will this lean condition cause my car to stall? It stalls when i push the clutch in coming off a higher rev. I changed the IAC valve and cleaned the EGR. Any other possibilities for the stalling? It is getting old the pos now have no secondaries opening due to another issue now it stalls all the time. Any input would be great. Thanks

I had a problem with my car stalling out and not restarting...I fixed a number of things, but which improved it's condition, but when I finally changed out the O2 sensors is when it pretty much got "fixed"

it may not have been the culprit, but it surely wasn't helping. regardless, if the sensors are shot, you wanna replace them anyways

Yes, if you're experiencing a major induction leak (causing a severe lean condition) you can experience stalling. In December my sport developed a leak in one of the intake manifold gaskets. The check engine light went on on my way to work. When I came back to go home, it wouldn't stay running for more than several seconds. I ended up having to tow it.

I think Hetfield was stating that a severe leak can cause stalling, AS WELL as cause the 1151, which would answer the "will an O2 sensor cause stalling" question. They phrased they were getting an 1151.. NOT that they KNEW the O2 was bad.. going solely off of a code, you can't assume anything, and I would lean towards an induction leak, as well, to cause both the stalling, and the lean code.
