i want to put a 2.3L duratec into my zx3. i am wondering if 1. its do-able; and 2. what transmissions are compatible.

You would likely have better luck on a Focus web site since the 2.3L engine comes in the Focus.

Sell it and buy one w/ one already in it. I'm sure the wiring alone between the 2 would be a treat.

Haha, actually, my mom is the owner now, and it's got a lot of new parts. New alt. water pump, brakes, tires, pass. headlight, proccessor, belts, starter, exhaust from the cat back including muffler...the list goes on. All it needs is a new alignment and a bit of body work and interior work. Despite all the new parts, it still sounds like it's guzzling gas to me, but that's probably because the 'Tour runs so silently. Oh well, it'll make a nice first car for some kid to beat up.
