All,

I have recently replaced my transmission and in the process of putting it back together, I have one grounding wire I cannot find a home for. The one end it attached to the frame just behind the battery/fuse box. The wire is about 18" long and has a larger bolt and bracket on the other end. I cannot for the life of me figure out where that other end goes. Based on the bolt size, it looks like it bolts to the tranny or motor but i could not find anything.

If someone could look for me that would great. A picture to mike@johnsonracingteam.com would be awesome!

Thanks,
Mike

There were two ground wires. One leads back to the battery and one leads back to the frame. The one from the battery is the one I have connected to the tranny and the one to the frame doesn't have a home yet. If you are saying the one goes from the frame goes to the tranny, where does the on attached to the neg lead on the battery go?

It's just another engine/tranny ground. It goes on a bolt connecting the transmission to the bellhousing.

Yup, Demon is right. Just remove a bolt that attaches the tranny to the block, slip the ground wire on, tighten it down, and your good to go.

Agreed. It attaches to the top of the tranny on it's own. The tranyy, in fact has two grounds. One one on the top of it in the middle, and antoehr vai the upper most fastening bolt that connects it to the engine.
