All,

I have recently replaced the clutch with a SPEC 1. Once I got it put back together, the clutch works good but when I am letting the clutch out, the pedal pulsates and the car kind of shakes forward. It is more noticeable when everything is cold. What would cause this? Will it shorten the life of the clutch?

Sounds like clutch chatter. Usually caused by an uneven flywheel or p-plate surface and most noticeable when a clutch is changed without surfacing the flywheel.

Unless the flywheel is really uneven it won't significantly shorten the life of the clutch, IMO. As long as you don't mind the pulsation that much then you can just leave it and drive it. The hard, right answer would be to pull it and resurface the flywheel and inspect the disk and pressure plate.

Any tips on getting that Fly Wheel off? It keeps spinning when I try to get it off.

Pull really hard on both sides. Don't put your hands under it and keep your feet out when you pull. Jiggle it back and forth when you pull. Worse case pry it off with a big screwdriver and put something under it to keep it from getting a tooth damage.

Stuck an impact gun on it and those babies came right off. The fly wheel came right off. Nothing a little bit of air power can't solve!
