I'm getting the car repainted on monday...I'm removing the dingguards and there is a definite ridge from a previous paint job. I decided to go ahead and remove them anyways since it will be painted in a couple days. But I would like to get rid of the ridge.

I've never done any kind of bodywork before, so I am asking, how I should go about this.

What grit sand paper? Should I apply a primer after sanding?

Any other tips/suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks.

feather it out with 320 and paint. Or you can 180 it and prime it , then 320 and paint
