Aussie,

Hat's off to you for fabbing up a sweet hollow bar and having the engineering know-how to stand behind it. It's also nice to see that the bar is 41xx steel instead of some junk low alloy bubblegum.

Unfortunately, I am currently enjoying my 21mm SCA bar now, so I am not in the market.

But kudos for a job well done.....

Kurt,
I appreciate the recognition, but unfortunately I am disappointed at the response to my work. Both the lack of interest and the uneducated criticisms have soured my victory. But I hope that all to change. I am waiting patiently for people to actually read my posts and realise that I am offering a well engineered modification, and not some backyard invention.

I undertook this task of coming up with a new and improved sway bar desgin over the current offerings after being one of the victims of BAT, waiting for my bar (for over 5 months) until I gave up. I decided to get something else out there for CEGer's and Cougar owners alike. The design is the best one out there, and I am not just blowing my own trumpet. I have proof and engineering specs on this bar. Nothing comes close to offering the specs I have regarding stiffness and weight saving.
Hopefully though, people out there will realize that spending $100 for a swaybar is just as important in increasing the performance of your vehicle as spending $100 on an intake.
Thanks to all those guys supporting me out there.
And I'll say it again. If you want a bar, complete with bushiings, let me know by EMAIL.

p.s. shipping is $10 flat rate to the Continental US and Canada.
So $120 will get you the bar shipped to your door with poly bushings (Prothane) for the sway bar and end links AND upgraded brackets to install if you wish to use a weld-on backing plate.

Has this part been tested for durability (either on test stands or in-vehicle)? Also, how have the stabar links changed from stock to your design?

We have not tested the durability, as this will add $$$$$ to the cost. Also we do not have the durability schedule, by Ford, to run a proper test, hence any results we may receive from a test would not be relevant. But I can assure you that the 24mm hollow bar is current production on several GM SUV's, so if you can break it in you SVT, then you be buying a whole new car cos you'd have to break your car to break the bar. The bar is 4130 chrome-molly steel which is induction hardened, so it is strong and durable. The end links are the stock ones, but I supply you with new bushings.
The stress in the bar has not increased as the geometry has not changed, henced the increased strength aand torsional rigidty as well as the superior material pretty much ensure you of a quality product.
smile

the guy from sp motorsports called me last thursday and said that he just got like 20 rear sway bars in from BAT but from the sounds of your design and engineering i may have to rethink my final decision on a swaybar purchase. if i do decide to get one of these from you i will not be able to afford one for a few weeks.

If it does what you say (and it sounds like a quality product), put me down.

Hope we can get a run of these going.
