yeah, and it had to be bank 1 in the rear . now I need to retap or at least clean the threads on the manifold. I have to do it blind, w/ no easy access from either top or bottom
all that because someone... ahem... ford... ahem... neglected to put antiseize on the threads.

Yup.
Funny when I put my new ones in (3 weeks ago) I was looking everywhere for my stuff, but I couldn't find it.
I was gonna just put them in without, but when I pulled out the O2's from the box they were already done.
Ford doing something right for a change.

and in case you think you can re-thread the rear manifold w/o taking it off just like I did... well... think again.

looks like I'm dropping the manifold next Sunday, but right now I have another old HEGO basically wedged in the hole. that (finally!!!) explains why I never throw used parts.

by the way, exhaust leak stinks
