I was cleaning my 2000 SVT when I decided to remove the jack hatch (or whatever you might call it) and found a mound of fine dirt. So I removed the entire ground effects only to find the front of both sides full of fine dirt. Is this normal or did I buy a used SVT that went for a dip on Galveston beach?

When I first brought this car home I noticed a lot of leaves jammed in the corners of the engine compartment just above these panels...perhaps the car sat under a tree, a lot.

Its pretty much normal. I know my car sat down at the jersey shore for 4+ years and when i took the jack covers off I had a mound of sand. I would just clean it out then not worry about it.

another vote, and a fact.

You drive through wet weather and muddy water runs in to the skirts when it is thin, then the water drips out the bottom and leaves the dirt.
