It�s officially totaled  ! But the check is in the mail for $4,079.00 and I still keep the car. So I have thought it over and I am going to a least fix the damage and then decide to paint the whole car or just the fender, hood and door. My car is black and the salvage parts are too so If I do not want any $ in repaint it should look ok. Parts are going to be about $500 so I will have $3579.00 left for paint or ???  It hard to believe they would total a low mileage V6 Contour SE that just needs a door, fender, windshield, minor bodywork on the rear quarter and paint?? Then turn around and give me $4,079 for it?? Does suck to now have a salvage/rebuilt title for such minor repairs. elraido---$330 for a windshield  I was quoted $188. Got any parts left on your parts car??? Louie

Almost forgot....I have $371 coming from Krogers because a "cart return boy" went went nuts and rammed the tour. While I was sitting in the car. It was all on video tape  Anyway, that's now $4,450.00 total. Louie

If the frame is bent, ditch the car. If it was sheet metal/glass only, then fix it. I love those 96 SEs, keep it on the road! You'll make out money-wise, and have some cash left over for mods!

Just hit a deer. The above parts listed above is all it needs. A weekend of work and then paint. I just drove it to Detroit so it's fine besides the damage.

I was also quoted $200 but that what a cheaper glass, and I wanted a better one. I have lots of parts left over.  I don't have injectors, hood, left/right front fenders, headlights and turn signals.
