I understand that the e-brake cable listed on the drum 2 disc conv. is a cougar part. I found out that there is another cable that is listed as a TSB cable kit with both sides in the kit and has return springs. Anyone use this kit? part # is F6RZ-2A635-AA.

yes, but not for a swap, the kit comes with two cables and the return springs which you only need for the 95 I beleive
- 95 Mystique LS - Zetec/5spd
- 99 Contour SeVT Sport - Duratec/5spd

my ebrake no worky, this is the kit number that should make it work right? How much is the thing anywho.

sorry not sure on the number but if you ask for the kit it shouldn't be a problem, last I knew Ford only sold the kit anyway, thats how we ended up with two sets, but semi luckly we ended up with my 99 and it needed cables just like the other 99 so we had the set already

Steve at Tousley Ford said the brake cable in the How-To is 27.10 Ea. Bill quoted 30.80.(Cable sold separatly)
However The TSB cables has both sides and Bill said that would run 43.71(Cables sold together)
Steve quoted that same one at 38.47.
I just wondered if people doing the conversion were using F8RZ2A635FA(Cougar) or F6RZ2A635AA(Contour)?
