Could someone read this description I found at CTA Motorsports and tell me if this is a power adder or a bunch of BS...please?
Nology HotWires are the most technologically advanced ignition wires available. HotWires create the most powerful spark possible. HotWires are engineered with a special built-in capacitor, exclusive only to HotWires. This revolutionary design allows energy from the ignition coil to accumulate in the capacitor until the voltage at the spark plug electrodes reaches the ionization point. At that split second point the entire power of the stored spark is discharged at once, creating a spark 300 times more powerful. The result is faster, more complete combustion, and most importantly, MORE HORSEPOWER that's 100%. Smog Legal.

SE-R guys like them , or at least on their modded SE-R they made an improvement. But, I'm looking through some newsgroups for info on them and lots of people are claiming snake oil. There are, of course, people that swear by them, but I seem to be seeing many more that say they're junk. Couple other websites (one for a probe, another for some FWD V6 GM) I found said they're junk. I can't remember seeing anything on here about Nology.. I'd say stick with the tried and true -- Magnecor, or those Ford Motorsport wires that Bill Jenkins was selling, or even Jacob's. edit Just go to http://groups.google.com and search for nology plug wires and see what you come up with. You'll get a ton of hits.

I doubt a spark plug wire can make much of a difference. Ford is actually known for having some of the best ignition systems out there. IMHO, a waste of money.

1volt or 10billion volts doesn't mater, once the gas is ignited its done its job, end of story.
HT stuff can hurt if it doesn't triger the explosion, but the rest is just overkill
so Snake Oil, and I can show you dyno after dyno test that show no difference between leads. Just buy a good quality Ford/Magnacor/Splitfire lead that works and is durable Same story for Spark plugs.

Check this out man. I read all of it before buying new wires and plugs. http://www.magnecor.com/magnecor1/truth.htm By the way, I just got my wires and spark plugs changed for high quality parts. The spark plugs are Bosh Platenum +4 and the wires are 8mm Racing ?? (Used in race cars). Anyways, compared to my older wared out wires and spark plugs it made a difference but I didn't gain any power. The only thing I can say is that the engine seems to run a little bit smoother when running IDLE. The total cost was 200$ Canadian so if your doing it to gain power I wouldn't do it. If you intend on keeping your car for a long time it's worth it since the plugs are warrantied for 100 000km and the wires are warrantied for the life of the engine so that's the only advantage I can see. My mechanic (which does Easy Street racing and Super Street racing) said that if you change your chip for a superchip or a diablochip it's important to get better wires. I don't know how true this is but I trust the guy since he know more than I do!! Hope this helps. Don't forget to check the link.

SoupMan,
Awesome link...good info. Thanks!
So I guess I'll just sick with my stock plugs and wires for a while and just get FRP 9mm wires and Motorcraft double platinums!
