Hi all! I'm hoping someone here can help me with my 99 CSVT. The heater/AC is stuck in the defrost position. After reading many posts about this I'm confident it is a vacuum problem. Last night I found a vacuum line that leads from the firewall up around the back of the engine. I'm sure that if I could figure out where this line connects to the vacuum system I could fix my problem. I cannot find one post that clearly explains where this line connects to the engine. I have the Hayes manual and it doesn't have a diagram showing where this connects on the V6, only on the 4 cylinder. Is there anyone here that can either give me a diagram, or tell me where the vacuum tube that comes out of the firewall on the other side of where the glove box would be connect to on the motor? Thanks in advance for any help you guys can provide.

I had to find mine a long time ago too, there are three actuator(someone jump in if I'm wrong anytime). I don't know which one does which though.

Driver's side, up near where your right foot is when you're driving.

Two more behind and below the HVAC controls.

They are silver cylinders, about 1.5" tall and 1.5" round. Each has 2(??) vacume connections. Each colour corrispondes with the HVAC controls.

Hope that helps !!

Thanks for the quick response. Unfortunately I forgot to mention that this is the connection that goes from the interior, through the firewall, to the engine. The connection I'm looking for is under the hood between the firewall and engine. Im trying to find out where this line connects to the engine. Some of the posts said that it connects to one of the two lines coming off of the intake manifold. I dont see any open connections on the manifold vacuum lines so I dont think is connects there. I think this one is the main vacuum that runs the other lines on the interior. Any ideas?
