Well I finally went ahead and installed my Steeda Short-Throw Shifter today. It had been sitting on my desk for almost a month now. I had been waiting for a plate to be made from a fellow Ceg'er, but that sort of fell through. So I just fabbed one up myself. I'll have pics tomorrow probably. It's really nice. Way better than stock. Took me about an hour and a half total time. I had no idea what i was doing so i was learning as I went. Pretty easy and worth while mod. I'm happy.

Glad to hear that you like it. I have one and I love it. I bought a Cougar knob and it compliments the shifter nicely.
I bet you had a bit of a hard time with your 2000 model since the adapter goes under the car though.

Yea I had a little more "fun" with the 2000. I have seen some set-ups with the cougar knob and it looks great. If I come across the chance to pick one up...I'll def. do that.

get a knob from team voodoo. i just got one for my steeda, looks great (i really love it, actually!)! nice weight to it also. if you get the pearl finish (got a clear coat over the standard knob), the clear will keep the knob from getting super hot, as many metal knobs do (get hot that is). i have no complaints!

Hey posthuman can you get into more detail abou the Steeda ?
Are the throws actually shorter and more like a 'click' shift ?

the throws are def shorter. (ex. from being in 1st or 3rd, and going to 2nd, or 4th...It feels like I only moved it to nuetral when in fact im in the next gear) make sense? I'm not sure what you mean by `click`...maybe someone else can chime in on this. All-in-all, very easy install and worth the time and money.

By "click" I just mean really really quick shifters (like the ones on a porsche 911), just feels like a click and there's no throw.
But if it feels like its going into neutral, then that sounds great. I've been leaning towards a Steeda instead of a B&M since apparantly the latter isn't that much better than stock.

Yea, I love it. I chose the steeda to support the "ford dedicated" places that supply us parts.
