Hello everyone,
I have four door speakers powered by a 360 watt amp. Today i bought 2 12's and a 1200 watt amp and had it installed at circuit city. Sounds fine, bumps like hell. Only problem is that when i turn it up, the door speakers click off for a second and then turn back on. It keeps doing this every few seconds. Do you think it could be that i need a capacitor? What do you all think

Its possible that they used a bad ground. Thats the main cause for problems like that. If you do not have a cap yet I highly suggest getting one at least for that 1200 watt amp. Go back to circuit and threaten to return everythingmaybe you'll get something good outta the deal

Circuit City doesn't sell a 1200 watt amp

circuit city does sell a 1200 watt amp, because i bought it from there partna. And i was going to by a capacitor very soon, and i dont wanna return it cause they gave me a sick deal on it already, and they didnt touch the door speakers so i dont think their liable for that problem. It only happened when i turned it up loud for the first few times, and then almost seemed to have stopped. Ill get some kind of better diagnosis and get back to you guys

I'm talking a TRUE 1200w amp. none of this 300w stuff with "1200w" stamped in huge writing on the top. Unless you bought their $1500 kicker amp.
