Ok, i got this prob. my g/f just bought me a sony x-plod cdx-s22 and we took it to best buy to get it installed cause she already paid for the installation and stuff. works great. next day i install new speakers. still works great. next morning i go to g/f's house and radio works fine on the way there. we come out to go somewere and the friggin thing isn't putting out any sound. so i pull apart my doors and check everything from connections to seeing if the speakers are blown. we take it back to best buy and they said the outputs are bad. they replace it. still doesn't work. i check speakers again. no prob, but no sound either. BIG PROBLEM! so i've been cruisin' without sound for 4 days and it's pissin' both of us off. what's up with this? blown factory amp maybe. keep in mind i previously had "premium sound". btw:speakers are same ohms and the wattage range is fine.

If you have a premium sound system the installers may hve forgotton to bypass the factory amp. Sending a high level signal though that amp = BAD. It is possible that it lasted for a couple of days. Did you smell anything burning or see any smoke? My friend forgot to bypass his amp and it smelled pretty bad. BTW the amp bypass kit if you don't have one already is pretty cheap, but i would suggest taking it back to those retards and tell them to fix it. the install should be warranteed for at least 90 days
