Ok, long shot obviously, but I know there are a few CEG'rs that live in SD. Could I have seen one of you?

Obviously none of you guys. Oh well.

So a week in So-Cal, temps never out of the 70's, overcast skies (y'all call it a marine layer--pfft!), and cool nights. Bah! Its June, shouldn't it be hot already!

Petco Park sucks BTW.

Marky works not too far from there and has a silver SVT.

There is a Silver SVT that I see parked on base, not stock, may have been that guy.

Petco Park is a palace, what didn't you like? I went to a game last month and sat in the Toyata Terrace, 1st base line the mound was right in front of us.

I used the live in San Diego. What you are seeing is known as the "June Gloom". It took me a few years to adjust to the two seasons of SoCal. I grew up in Texas where there are four distinct seasons. I've seen temps in SD in the 80's in December, and 70's in June. Go figure. It has to do with the ocean's insulating effect and the occasional "EL Nino."

It might have been me, I have a 99 silver frost.

I am also curious as to what you didn't like about Petco Park.

My primary gripe about Petco is how imposing it is. There is no main aisle through the stands around the field; the main aisle behind the lower level is like a dungeon.

So viewing the game on the way to the bathroom or concession stand is nearly impossible. The segmentation/separation of the lower level makes it impossible to spot friends in any level. And heaven forbid you're in seats near the field and need to get out quickly because the entire lower level enters and exits through narrow aisles. This also makes it a pain in the arse when you're watching the game and people are walking about obstructing your view.

The warehouse in the outfied is o.k. but the rest of the stadium doesn't follow that theme. Were they afraid a brick-faced ballpark would seem like another copy of Camden Yards?

The neutral colored stone on the towers and exterior simply lacks character and interest.

Where are the tables/chairs or bar tables/stools to eat? Most folks don't want to eat that 1/2lb hotdog in their seat. Just way too few places to sit down with your grub. And where are the restaurants? There's what 3 of 'em?

IMO it's a nice stadium only because it's new. Once the new wears off I think it will fall out of favor quickly and definitely won't go down as a classic.

I was in San Diego on May 28th, went to Sea World for most of the day then drove back home. Not too familiar with street names so I do not know if it was me.
