For some reason, there is come kind of noise happening when I shift. It almost sounds like a popping sound. However, when I go real easy on the gas and shift like an old woman, i dont hear the sound as bad, or at all. I searched and couldnt find an answer to my question. Do any of you know what this could be?

if when you go easy on it, it doesn't happen, my guess is that it might be a synchro going out, or gone? When that happened to me it was between 2nd and 3rd and only when driving hard.

were you hearing a grinding or like a pop? when i shift from 2nd to 3rd, if i leave it in neutral for a sec, and then shift, it doesnt pop. But if I shift fast, then i hear it. Anybody have an idea what could be going on here?

When you say shift, are you also including engaging the clutch or are you just talking about the action of shifting into 3rd gear? I would say you could try flushing out your fluid in either case and then running some Redline MTL.

I am talking about putting the car in 3rd gear while I have the cluthch in all the way. I am wanting to get the clutch replaced anyways, so do you think that replacing the clutch may solve this problem? Also, what is good clutch to look for? I still have 20k left on my warranty, so I didnt want anything that would void my warranty. Any ideas? Also, how much am I looking at spending for parts and labor for this?
Thanks, Brian

Can anyone give me a rough estimate on parts and labor for that, please?

I have been looking in former posts and I will probably get the SPEC stage I kit. It is $329 on Spec's website. My question is, does anyone know of any other kits that I should look at? and, does anyone know if the Spec clutch would void any warranty that I have on the car? I will call Ford later today, I just wanted to get your $.02 before I did.
Oh yeah, i have read that I should have the Ford T/O bearing replaced with another Ford one. Is this true, why is that? Anything else I should look out for?
Thanks, Brian

Dude, I've been using the spec stage 3 and the spec provided throwout for two years. I haven't had any issues. Get the Ford throwout and you'll be golden, but I just wanted to let you know that I haven't had any issues with mine.

Same here. One year so far and still going strong.
Although I will say if I knew about the SPEC problems in the past, I would of just bought a Ford replacement at the time of the clutch install.
Since it's held up so far, I'm just going to keep it.
