Hey guys, this might be posted in the wrong forum, and if it is, i apologize . I was about to get some new headlights for my 99 CSVT, and i wanted your opinions on which one looks the best. I want to get the white/blue type look. I have heard that silverstar bulbs are good, but i dont know. I await your replies...

Thanks,
Brian

Unless you feel like spending a good chunk of change on HIDs, buy Silverstar 9005s (high beams) and put them in the 9006 spot. They look awsome. Here is a night shot of my car w/ those.

IMO silver stars aren't that great for looks, good output but not looks, you want some amazing looking headlights? Nokya is your calling card, those are the most distinctive and best looking lights you can get without going HID, just my

Your left foglight is burned out.

I'll second the vote with Silverstars. 9005s in the lows spot are about as close as you're gonna get to HIDs without blowing a couple hundred. They are also the closest you're going to balance looks and performance with. A lot of the claimed "look of HID" bulbs with a bunch of Japanese script on them look fantastically blue, but don't show anything on the road for poo, especially if they are not balanced correctly or if it's raining out at night. I dumped a set I ordered from eBay almost immediately after driving with them at night in the rain. Switched over to these, and everything was dandy:

Yeah, it just does one of those weird electric things... when the car is off, that foglight won't come on, but w/ the engine running, it does. Electronics have a mind of thier own sometimes.

lil stryped...where did you purchase your kit? I'm now working full time this whole summer and will have a little money to spend. Also how much was it and how easy of installation was it?

I bought a BMW 3 series HID kit (with re-based 9006's) and it would never work. It was a PnP type but for some reason it didnt have enough juice from my car (despite putting out 11.86v)

I dont want to buy one of these and not have it work.

Thanks

PM MILAN, he can tell you everything he knows about my lights... he made them for my car . It's a phillips 9006 kit. Plasmagarage.com has the kit for 300.00. The headlights have 70 and 90mm Hella projectors.
