I was just reading the new sport compact car
and there is an article on the focus. They are installing a new clutch and a phantom grip limited slip to the diff. So I checked there website and there is one available for all contours.Just thought i would let you all know in case your interested in a cheaper way to beef up the diff instead of a quaife. Check out there website. http://www.phantomgrip.com

They are supposedly less than $200. That's what I am getting for my ATX when I start having problems with traction.

If you have a MTX, you'd be CRAZY to buy that instead of the now 'almost cheap' Quaife, and the Torsen coming out in the fall.

Even with the Phanthom Grips, you're likely to blow out your diff if you get wheelhop.

The Phantom Grips don't replace the ailing side gears in the diff, which are the ones that break.

Is the phantom grip as good as the Quaife? No. but it would help for the weekend warrior who will still be careful of hard launches and doesn't terrorize corners. The deciding factor should be LABOR. Both units require a complete removal of the differential. If you take you car down that far, you should really install the best... that is unless you can't afford it like me... Poor Silvie will have to wait until next time for the Quaife if ever she gets one... booo hoooo hooo, I'm going home to cry...

I had my phantoms grips put on for about 5 mos. I drag raced couple of times and noticed big difference in 60 ft times . Major difference was at the autocross. So far so good no problems and went through two transmissions and this holds up fine with the grips. Probably recommended for no more than 250hp. later
