Hey everyone,
recently bought a 2000 svtc with 68000 miles on it, its going onto 70k now, Recently, over the past 2 days or so, when i turn the wheel left, a pretty loud heartbeat like noise occurs....any ideas?

where exactly does it come from? if the feeling is under your feet and its coming front he driver side front wheel well or the passenger side front wheel well.. It sounds like its time for a new CV joint. Does it have a clicking noise to it?

the more i turn the wheel, the harder it gets, sounds just like a heart beat coming from the steering wheel

Wheel bearing or CV joint... Only two I can think of at this point. More likely a Wheel bearing if its not a ticking noise.

Is this while the car is moving or do you get it just from turning the wheel while the car is stationary?

just while the car is in motion, and just turning the wheel left. Sounds likes it coming out of the dash, a very loud heartbeat that gets faster the faster i step on the gas

You could have a tire with tread separation causing a bubble on the sidewall. When you turn into that side, especially if the tire pressure is low, you might get that sound.

A bad CV joint will make a clicking noise on turns, especially slow turns. The noise will be from the opposite side from the direction you are turning.

i have been thinking it sounds an awful like a tire, doesnt sound like its coming from the tire though. but ill check it out.
