Here's another for you:

99.9% of all drivers that say they are "good drivers", haven't the foggiest clue how to drive beyond the normal scope of A:B driving. If you are a "really good driver" then why a 2.5 60?

Firstly,

You have NO IDEA what I run... I've never stated what I run.. in this thread, nor in the rest of CEG's history. So, don't get your e-panties in a wad...

Secondly: blatant irregularites in your story are what's causing EVERYONE to call b.s.. not just me. Because I happen to be ON ceg more often than the normal, sane human being, doesn't mean that I disbelieve you any more than the rest!! It isn't sad that people call B.S on this.. It's normal.. What's sad is that you think, regardless of any means of "proof" over the internet you come up with, that ANYONE would believe a 2.5 60 leads to a 15 and a half at 90MPH!

Thirdly:

guys i am not lying i swear on my whole family, like i said i am confused to, i will prove it to u, with a timeslip tomorrow, by the way how did i get 2.5 60 foot? i dotn get how this works i wasent spining the tires too much i just had alot of weel hop?? so what u are saying if i fix my 60' then my time will be even faster?? damn i cant wait for the street night then..

oh and one more thing, in the forum where the guy posts his 0-60 video is that how the SE is supposed to accelerate?? because my car pulls way better then that?? oh and i had the engien changed but it is a 1995 contour SE engine for sure because we went to get it from the car.... anyways im confused

i'll have to disagree with you ray on the octane doesnt create power part..it makes power if your car/pcm is set up for higher octane...

It ALLOWS your car to RUN with that much timing, and at that compression ratio WITHOUT detonation. The engine will make what the engineers designed for it to make (taking in to account the octane needed to run at said compression.. )

Using less will DEGRADE power, because the PCM will cut timing, etc, to protect itself from detonation. However the same is not (at least to my knowledge) true in the opposite respect. Adding octane to a car with NOTHING to require said levels will not increase power at all. Add octane to a car that's had work done to it to REQUIRE that octane, and it will ALLOW the engine to run (with said work done) without hassle or trouble.

However: my point still stands.. OCTANE does not implicitly add power. (On stock cars it does nothing, unless the engine was designed to use it.. On modified cars it merely ALLOWS the engine to operate in that temperature range without detonation, therefore the engine WILL make more than its stock amount of power, but not because of the octane. Simply because of the work done to the engine itself.)
