Ok, here's the issue:

When the car is cold the revs drop predictably and everything is great. Driving home from work today, it seemed that once the engine warmed up the throttle wanted to hang up quite a bit, especially between 2500 and 3000 rpm. This was so apparent that I could take my foot off the gas in any gear with the tach at around 2k, and it was like I was in cruise control... the car just kept going. I would come to a stop without using the clutch until the last minute, then put in the clutch and the revs would shoot up to 2000 and stay there for a minute before dropping.

Honestly, I'm stumped. The TH fix didn't fix this, and it seems to have gotten worse. Would a sticking IAC give me these symptoms, a bad TPS, or possibly other vaccuum issues? All I know is I can't keep driving my car like this!

Thanks!

Cleaned the TB, UIM and LIM thoroughly last summer. The only thing I can think is that some gunk found it's way into the IAC and is keeping it stuck open.

Ok, I did some more searching and seem to have found that I'm not the only one who has experienced this. It seems there have been some issues with the TPS wiring and connector. I'm going to take a look tomorrow... hopefully this is the problem.

This same thing happened to me two days ago...it was so weird driving with it like this. Mine has stuck before, but usually only when I stop...this time it was, as you had mentioned before, like I was in cruise control. At one point when I stopped and had it in neutral, it revved itself to 4000 rpms!! If you figure out what the hell the problem is...I'd be grateful to hear the solution...and my throttle and cruise cbles dont seem to be sticking at all...so weird.
