finally got my cd player in and after running all the wires, i hooked up my kenwood amp. The light on the amp came on which means it had power. I hooked up the subs and....nothing. So i pulled everything apart and checked the connections. Everything looked good but i still got no sound from the subs. Then i looked back and the light on the top was not on. So i checked the 2-20 amp fuses in the amp, checked the power fuse hooked to the battery, checked the ground wire, etc....now there is no power running to my amp....i dunno what the hell is going on but i'm getting aggrivated. Can someone help me!

I think he was asking if it was hooked up to the right wire back there
sounds like you took a lot of the necessary steps. now, repeat them. check the connections, at the amp and wherever they connect to.
by "checking" the fuses, doesn't really mean they're still good. I've found my 80 amp in-line fuses to look just fine, replaced them to find they were still the problem. fuses are pretty cheap, get a new in-line fuse and replace the 2-20 amp ones too. if this still isn't working, I'd say something got fried

Try a different ground. The first time I hooked mine up, it would come on, then shut off. The metal I had it grounded to wasn't enough.

Try finding a new ground, and remove any paint that is on the contact area.
Also, get a voltmeter and check the remote and power wires to be sure that they are getting the proper power using the ground wire you've run for the ground of the test circuit.

I agree on the voltmeter for sure... if you're getting power and the "remote on" is working, and the ground is verified to be good (all of this can be done with the voltmeter), then you can call the amp toast.

Yea if you had a fuse in the line from the battery to the amp...the fuse would fry before it hit the amp, so you amp should be fine. Providing you didnt drop it or something. Make sure you clean your ground area real good and have a tight connection everywhere.

If your amp is toast, find an electronics repair shop locally. Mine was out of warranty, but fixed for $75 locally...
