I just installed 2 Autometer Phantom Gauges. Air/Fuel and Oil pressure. The Oil pressure gauge works but it seems like every time i hit a bump or something the dial will go to 100 and the light will shut off then it will bounce back. So i think that is a bad connection that can be fixed. But the Air/ Fuel gauge is hooked into a white wire w/ a red tracer that is located on the strut tower to the right of the air cleaner (which i read is the air/fuel or goes to an O2 or something), but the air/fuel gauge doesn't even move so i think it is hooked in to the wrong wire. The gauge is just sitting on the last rich light and doesn't move. Does anybody know where to hook the sender wire for the A/F gauge on a 1998 Contour SVT. Please help. Thank you

the oil gauge i dont know, but the A/F gauge you have to splice into one of the wires from your o2 sensor...thats what i did....maybe different on a svt, but i dont think so.

Oil gauge - It's a bad connection. Just retrace your wires and make sure they are tight together. That will solve that problem.

do you know which wire it is, b/c i think i have to tap into the one on the other side of the engine bay (passenger side) white wire w/ a red tracer and i think there is more then one. But if i just tap into an O2 what color did u use??

The oil pressure thing sounds like the same problem I had. If your sending unit is mounted in the head, check the wire going to it. Mine was touching the EGR pipe which melted the insulation and caused it to ground at times. The gauge would respond with a nice *TICK* and slam to full pressure. Rather annoying, so I re-routed the wire.
