So my daily driver has over the past year been slowly leaking oil from at least the front valve cover gasket onto the accessory drive which is spraying it up onto my hood and all over the end of the engine and accessories. Like I said I know the front VCG is leaking a little but could this also be coming from somewhere else? Just trying to make sure I'm not missing something. I'm also fairly sure it is oil and not grease from a torn CV boot. Any help, advice or experience would be appreciated.

TIA,

Seems like a lot of oil. Are you sure it's not power steering fluid that is on your hood? I would think that you would notice a drop in oil level with that much oil spray.

My car has had a similar problem (though not near that bad) since I bought it.

Im interested in what is causing it too.

I don't think it's much considering...

Better hope it's not power steering fluid...Heck any fluid that is flammable...

My wife's Accord (before we were married) had a powersteering fluid leak and went directly onto the engine...I never knew I could fight fires so well...
