If the car was exhibiting a "buzzing" or whirring sound that got louder, or became present at all, when turning one direction, but went away, or (possibly) got softer, while turning the other direction, it is most likely a wheel bearing.
Wheel bearings can be pressed out of the hub itself, then replaced, using a press, for (as I stated) one hour of labor, and around $60.00 for the bearing.
an entire new hub comes with the bearing already pressed in. You would still pay the hour or so of labor to pull the old hub off, and replace with a new hub, however. (unless you did it yourself.. a how-to is under "duratec maintenance, under "ray's how-tos")
Either way: if they are charging you 112.00 for a BEARING (parts cost.. PLUS labor on top of that).. run.. fast...
You are unlikely to get the bearing plus labor for that cheap anywhere else, so if they are offering the bearing, PLUS LABOR for 112.00 total, then that sounds VERY good.. as long as they are using a hydraulic PRESS to press it in, not hammer it in, etc.
