not me .."id kill myself".....that was my remark when some guy said, "since you put a intake on your car, its ricey enough might as well put a Fat pipe on it"...i said ."then i would have to kill myself".....but thank you for your concerns in making sure i dont rice it out.
ps..i really dont consider, intake being a "rice mod"..just wanted to make it breath better,..and the coworker also is 18.5yrs old and doesnt have a car yet

You know.. tweaking your car does not make it a ricer. Sure the sound of some smaller cars lacks the nice low rumbles we know and love. Being a ricer is really the overkill on a cheap car that should have been spent on something better. Once you start painting a Honda civic with flames, adding lights under the sides and using 22" spinners is when the ricer comes into mind. Those things should only be used on real nice cars.
Maybe it's me, but I like things from the otherside. More perfomance, power and long lasting over that of crazy looks. At least with this you can start with something ruff and make it into something even better.

I have a custom Brullen quasi-dual on my '96 GL Zetec. My exhaust is MASSIVE. The main pipe is 3" and splits into dual 2.5" pipes. Check it out right here.
I LOVE how it sounds. At idle it has this burble that sound like my roomate's 350 V8 inboard/outboard boat. When I stomp on it, it also sounds great with NO rasp.
People said that because of the size that I would loose low end. I didn't notice any. What I did notice was the gain at the high end. It pulls like mad from 4500 to redline.
Actually, I promised someone a little while ago that I would record it for them. Because of work, I kinda forgot. Let me see if I can get my hands on my parent's camera and get some sound for you.
Unfortunately I bought my exhaust in a group buy a while back. It was custom made my Brullen. Even if you could still have one made, it was $579 + $45 for shipping. I think Performance Fords handled the group buy. I don't think that they are around anymore.
If I were to buy a system today, I would go with the single stainless system from CTA. (The duals weigh a ton.)

Just look at the pics.I bolted it onto my car. It has flanges welded onto the ends of the pipes. I had to use a plate to connect the old exhaust to the new one. The only reason that I'm using the plate is because it's temporary. I will have a 3" downpipe from my turbo later this year. BP
