i have a 96 Contour GL Sport inline 4, and i was just wondering if anyone know the exact differences between the non sport package and the sport package, considering in 96 they didnt have a SVT theres a possibility they might have beefed up the sport package

In the sport package they gave you a Tachometer and alloy rims, and IIRC a slightly stiffer suspension (but I might be wrong) Thats about it. You also might have power windows and locks.

Leave the power windows and locks off of the list, they were standard on all Contour trim levels. As well as cruise control.

What? Cruise control was definitely an option on pre-98s at least (Kremit's car doesn't have it, I believe, for instance), as well as power locks/windows.

Crank windows and manual locks are extremely rare on 98+ models but they do exist as well.

I don't use cruise control ... I would have gladly traded it for something useful like fold-down rear seats or intermittent wipers

I have cruise control, intermittent wipers, alloy wheels, fold down rear seats, and tachometer, but manual windows and locks. My Mystique is a 4 cylinder with automatic.
