It's been a while since i've posted in the forums, surprisingly the car has been running fine for a while except for recently the timing belt tensioner crapped out on me. But anyways... My question is regarding the belt tensioner (serpentine, not the timing) when i have some of the accesories on such as a/c or the headlights the car idles at about 500 rpm's and the belt tensioner seems to jump around and vibrate alot, It was replaced around 2 1/2 years ago due to the other one being bad. I don't think this one is bad but i'm not 100% certain, it's also done it ever since i put it in. It's almost as if the spring inside the tensioner is not strong enough to keep the belt tight enough. I was just wondering if anyone else's car has this problem with the tensioner bouncing around alot. BTW, I have a 95 with a zetec. Thanks for any advice.
