Ive searched the Forums and found some great threads on this subject. I was just wondering a few things. Ok so my left turn signal blinks much faster then the right, this is because of a burned bulb or a bad signal. Anyways I noticed that there is alot of water in my left turn signal housing "hence" the bad left signal. I took the right bulb and put it in the left side and it still did not work. My concern is that the actual signal is out not just the bulb, granted it was fairly wet, so hopefully after it dries a new bulb will do the trick. If not how much do the signals usualy cost?

ps. excuse the phrase signal I do not know what the the housing that the bulb sits in is called.

Thanks

Rapid turn signal means one of your left bulbs is either dead or dying, dunno how it determines this but you should check your bulbs see if the filament(s) are burned out.

Also, did you check the back bulb? As the fast "blinker" is for front and rear, either or, hope ya understand.

Dry out the electrical connector.
Use a voltmeter to see if there is pulsing voltage when you turn on your left signals.

If there is not, then the voltage is not making it to the connector itself.

If it IS there, then the bulb is bad. (obviously your right bulb is good, so the water had something to do with it. Electricity takes the path of least resistance.. it is easier to go "around" the lightbulb, from one connector tab to the other (via the water) than it is to go THROUGH the bulb (causing it to light)..

Help it out, a little.. let it air dry, while. (maybe a little heat, a hair dryer perhaps..)
