Long shot but I wonder if anybody's put this on a svt:

that on a black svt would look hawt

I'm trying to find muffler options that won't make it sound like a mustang or v8, but a high revving v6.

http://www.hksusa.com/info/media.asp?id=1760

If it sounds like that but deeper then damn sign me up !

Anybody else running non-borla/bosal/magnaflow/dynomax mufflers ?

You are in luck.

ABSOLUTELY NO muffler will ever make a V6 sound like a V8.

I know you don't want to hear it but the sound I think you are going for can be had from the Dynomax Ultraflow.

Yeah but it doesn't have those fancy schmancy flamed tips heh.

Some of the magnaflow's i've heard are trying to sound too deep and bassy like it's trying to emulate a v8 ... that or they just took the pony canisters and modified the piping.

Which mufflers do you have Demon ?

I have Dynomax resonators and Magnaflow mufflers.

I bought the tiny rear Magnaflows because they easily fit in the stock location.

If I did it again I would just stuff (and I mean stuff ) the normal size Ultraflows there.

I had Ultraflows on the F-body setup and it was the best sounding Contour exhaust I have ever heard. Very throaty, exotic, sporty sounding.

I agree the Magnaflows are a bit "boomy" for my taste. However they do sound really cool at idle.

Dynomax sells those import style mufflers btw. I don't know about the variety but they do make some.

don't want to take the credit for the homework that Staz did for me, but do I have some pictures to illustrate "Stuff " part of it. check my profile (in signature) for the ultimate stuffing pictures

depends on the magnaflows I guess... the setup I have is quieter than Borla which is good for my wife carting the kid to school, but does not sound as "macho" as some would prefer. it is louder than stock, but as Shaggy put it "it's probably more intake than exhaust"

I agree...I had an ultraflow on my probe GT with no resonator and it had a nice low rumble at idle and nice sound under acceleration.

I never understood the aesthetic value of anything carbon fiber under the car if it cannot be visually appreciated. This goes especially for the SVT models, which you can only see the tip and a very miniscule part of the muffler body, if any at all.... Specially lowered. I think the same muffler you posted the first pic of, but in full stainless should do the trick, and save you some dough. Also the burnt tip is more fling' than bling', so get it normal.
