Yeah. I have something similar. A few months ago, I was mailed a parking ticket. The ticket was given in a city I have never been to (several hours from my home) and it was for a Volkswagen (a car I've never owned). I had to fax my current registration on both cars and write up a letter requesting it be removed. After about a week, they let it go.
It's strange what can happen when the officer writes the wrong license plate down.

LOL! I can't believe you guys get tickets for loud exhausts. It seems like everyone has a loud exhaust around here and the cops just don't care.

They don't care in georgia, it's cool except for some annoying low-rider ricer trucks that have open exhausts.

i passed with headers and an untuned 3L, and a 100K stock cat last year
this year they switched over to OBD2 emissions, so no more cats for me
