My car has 75k on the original wires as well... They seem fine, haven't had any problems with them. I think I will get a set of the 9MM Ford Motorsport wires though. As an added bonus, they'll look cool...

Yep they are originals. The number refers to the model year. I just changed the originals on my 96 with 10 years and 155,000 Km on them.

I haven't driven the car yet. The plugs are only 1 year old Autolite APP764's. I installed the wires from my SVT which were replaced with Magnecor's. I also replaced the fuel filter and cleaned the MAF sensor before I started to replace the drivers side LCA and suspension. Once I put it back together tomorrow I'll let you know how it feels. BTW I changed the wires, cleaned the MAF and replaced the filter because I was getting an intermittant hesitation/bucking at certain RPM.

The car drove fine today but since the problem was intermittant only time will tell.
