my drivers side rear speaker blew im thinking about getting a proper set of 6x8's for the front and moving the front speakers to the back but im probly going to need to amp the front speakers thats the mess at first i was thinking there would be nothing to it but then i though about it for an hour
ok you got the amp it needs power and of corse the input wires and output wires id need to run new wire for the front speakers from the doors so it might not work out

not real complicated, just time consuming. set aside an afternoon and knock it all out at once, the end result will b more worth it then u thought.
u should maybe consider component speakers up front and amping them, just a thought.

If you are going to spend the time to run wires for using an amp to the doors you should get components or at least some nice 6.5" coaxials. I don' think that the 6x8's sound as nice and i don't think that they have as punchy of bass as a nice 6.5".

I was thinking the other day it would be nice to just have some really nice componets in the front and get rid of my subs. As much as I love the subs I am tired of not having too much of a trunk. So, if you are going to start off...seriously consider that. Do it right the first time so you don't have to spend more money and time on it later. DON'T GO CHEAP (unless it is an awesome deal)...get something that sounds good and that will last.

i already have a 10" sub i wanna do it seriously it took me about a year before i built up the balls and time to do the sub install but if do go with components im gonna need a whole not more powerful amp then what i have set aside for it and then i would have to go order some nice expensive component speakers
i was seriously thinking about the lightning audio speakers that they have at wal- mart freind put a set in his f-350 sounded good i want something i could just drop in to i don't wanna have to worrie about a adaptor plate or any thing
i think it just may need a new battery stronger battery
that may help a bit
but my rear drivers side speaker did go out i don't even notice the difference but it still bugs me that it doesn't work i don't know to be honest i know if i think about it long enough il end up doing it and i might go with the components
sorry for the long post trying to keep my mind on doing something till forzza motor sports comes out today i gotta pick up my copy as soon as the store opens

... holly hell. Lightning audio.. AKA, Factory speakers with cool little yellow ligtning bolts are not worth the 30 bucks.
2nd... Walmart? Buy a pair of good JVC's, Pioneers, even Sony's for the same price as the "lightning audio" or less online.

You can get the Pioneer TS-A6870R's for 56.00 a pair at WalMart if they have them in stock. (Some do some don't) They are about 79.99 everywhere else i have seen.
The Pioneers are a much better choice than the Lightning Audio. The Pioneers are 3 way 6x8's and should drop right in the doors.

I have pioneer 6x8's in my car and they sound good. You don't need to worry about plates or anything, they fit right in there. Even say Ford, Mazda and something else on the box. Don't get sony...the highs aren't very good on them.
