Try unchecking the box for enable ieee 802.1x authentication unless you are using eap, which I doubt in a home enviroment. YMMV

Is the router setup to broadcast the SSID? When you click on view wireless connections can you see your network or just the Musiccast one?

I see both, with my wireless network being on top and the music cast after that.
I reinstalled everything and did not use WEP or whatever it is...and it seems to be working better..

I'm not real familiar with Musiccast but I'm assuming you use it to stream music from your PC/internet to your home stereo...? Does it have it's own network ID and password? Try this, disable Musiccast, just power it down so that when the router looks for available networks it's no where to be found. Hit the reset button on the back of the wireless network router and reconfigure from the default settings. It wouldn't be very smart to run your network with the WEP encryption turned off so set that up too. See if that works better. You may have to setup Musiccast(if it's possible) with the same network ID and password as the wireless network so it's just like another PC connecting to the router. Do you see where I'm going or am I totally off the track?

A little more research gave me this...
Quote:
Beginning my setup, I navigated to the System Setup page where I was able to setup my MusicCAST Server and MCX-A10 client. Knowing that I had a DHCP server installed in my home, I realized that I would have to configure the MCX-1000 to receive its IP address from the existing server (you can only have one DHCP server on any network. Having decided to attempt setup without first consulting the owner's manual (just to see if it could be done), I began on the Network sub-menu where I located and clicked on Expert Settings. Here I was able to " Automatically obtain IP address with DHCP " under the IP Address sub-menu. This allowed the MCX-1000 server to obtain an IP address from my existing DHCP server. For those without an existing home network, the MusicCAST server is capable of acting as a DHCP server for its connection to the client modules (in fact this is the default configuration). Having the DHCP option was critical and showed Yamaha's foresight in writing the OS code.
So the Musiccast will act like just any other passive piece of equipment on the network instead of trying to be the boss.
