I hope someone can please help me here! I want to install an aftermarket CD player but I need help figuring out my 1995 Ford Contour's wiring harness. It does not have the factory amp. It had a Ford factory AM/FM tape deck with two harness connectors. The first connector is a flat 8-pin connector that I believe is the speaker wires. From what I've been able to find out online I think this is the correct code for my 95.
-----------------------|
Br : Right Rear -
Wh : Right Rear +
Br-Rd : Right Front -
Wh-Rd : Right Front +
Br-Wh : Left Rear -
Wh-Pu : Left Rear +
Br-Yw : Left Front -
Wh-Bl : Left Front +
-----------------------|
The other connector is also 8-pin but it is angled like an L and only has 6 wires coming off it. The part the wires go into is black and the part that plugs into the tape deck is grey.

Bu-Rd
Bl-Gr (Larger)
Wh-Gr
Bu-Bl
Bl-Gr (Smaller)
Or-Bl

Can anyone decipher this for me? I've spent over six hours the last 2 days just searching the forums here and at a couple of other sites! I haven't been able to find anywhere this configuration of colors.
BTW : I live in the sticks and the nearest store with any audio is a Wal-Mart 45 miles away. They supposedly carry the Scosche FD02 adapter for this but they haven't had it available the last 3 times I've been there!
So if someone could just please give me the color codes for the L-shaped connector, I would certainly appreciate it!

go to wal-mart and get the wiring adapter, or a store of your choice.

I have installed three radios this way, one 95 and two 99's

all you have to do is match the colors and everything will work fine

just reread your post, I will look it up tomorrow and post

Okay, I'm still waiting for an answer... the Contique was only in production 6 years and it looks like from the posts that 98-00's had the same color codes, but they are different than my 1995's. I'm guessing 94-97's were the same. So could anyone with wiring diagrams for 94-97's please post or email me a reply? I mean I've been driving the last couple of days with no tunes! I'm starting to hear things... ya know voices! OMG! The voices! They won't let me be! I need my tunes... please!! What?!? no...NO!... NO!...I won't buy a chevy!!
