INSTALLED WERE SPARK PLUGS FROM KRAGEN SOME AUTOLITE PLUGS FORD- TOLD ME WHAT ALREADY KNEW MISFIRE CYLINDER 5, THEN THEY INFORMED ME THAT THE SPARKPLUGS WERE TO HOT OF A PLUG. SO I CHANGED THE PLUG AND GOT FORD MOTORCRAFT PLUGS INSTALLED THEM IN ABOUT 30 MIN. FIXED MY PROBLEM. CAR IS RUNNING GREAT. NO MORE BOGGING- MY CAR IS ALIVE AGAIN- I HOPE THIS HELPED ANYONE

OP con_svt_tour New CEG\'er C Joined: Apr 2005 Posts: 22	yes the spark plug that were installed were the app 764. which made my car have a misfire. I wouldnt recommend these spark plugs.

Ray_dup1 Addicted CEG\'er R Joined: Jul 2001 Posts: 7,100 San Antonio/Austin, TX	HAHA... you wouldn't recommend APP764's but you are hoping that the MOTORCRAFT plugs work for EVERYONE as well as they do for you? THAT is funny. The APP764 is THE number one recommended plug for this system, in this car. (NOT TO MENTION IDENTICAL to the Motorcrafts in your car now) Your plugs MAY HAVE been causing a misfire, but they may have just been OLD.. even GREAT plugs are crap when they are old. the same way that NEW plugs that are CRAP will work GREAT at first. (Bosch +4's, in general) Perhaps the reason those new motorcrafts work so well is because you simply needed new plugs. Oh, and no offense on the caps, I was just pointing it out, was all. OP con_svt_tour New CEG\'er C Joined: Apr 2005 Posts: 22	no i understand when i went to go pick up my car it was acting funny and it never got better. the plugs may have been old. they looked kinda new when i pulled them out the car. all i now know is my car is running much better with these motorsport plugs would have to asked robert about the autolite plugs the thing that matters to me is my car is running great now an i fells a little better with the 3.0 i also recommend if someone is looking for a converting to a 3.0 2002 taurus or sable in california go with LKQ redding i got my engine with 3K for 472 with shipping. with a 6 mos warr. oh also i verified thru carfax
