I'm sure most 'tour drivers out there don't care, but is there anyone who recommends a driving shoe? ive read tons of stuff about adidas tuscanys and puma klims. is there anyone who can preach negatively or positively about these? or even if you rock another type, speak up.

Those aren't real driving shoes. I have the Adidas, and they work well for driving, but they are just imitations. Buy Simpon shoes if you are going to buy shoes just for driving, or if you are going to race. A lot of Auto-xers I know use the knockoffs like I do, but you will be labeled as a poser by anyone who wears Nomex and does high-speed racing.

Me too!

I drive with my "Madden" brand casual shoes, they are very slender and don't get caguht up on the aluminum pedals like most shoes... plus they are comfy . The only other good shoes I can recomend is ANY running atletic shoe. THey tend to be alot more flexible and thin. Boots and basketball sheos are a big no no when I drive.

I know a lot of autocrossers buy Wrestling Shoes. They are probably a bit cheaper than something with the Simpson name on it. Of course, there is no Nomex protection.

So you might look into that angle.

I'm pretty sure the last thing on my mind when buying shoes would be, "but what if my feet catch fire?" I wouldnt worry about that unless you're going the full nomex route and RACE your car. I can see wrestling shoes working, and much cheaper.

I'm still a better driver with heavy ass Doc Martens than most are with racing shoes.

I have a pair of Diesels that are light and give me great feel for the pedals.
