OK, here is the low down. All of the sudden when i am driving, it seems as though my secondaries arent kicking in. I am thinking it might be my IMRC or something because when i pull over and manually push the throttle, the secondaries don't open (i look at the little medal piece attached to the throttle and the secondary).

So, i turn off the car just for a second, then turn it back on. do the same test, but this time they open. Is the problem with my IMRC box or are the secondaries junked up? (i did take off UIM and LIM and clean them out really good all the way to a nice shine).

I am really baffled at what the problem could be, just cuirious if anyone has had this exact same problem with it cutting in and out.

IMRC failure is a very common problem.

The IMRC itself could just have outright failed or the cable could have broken. It's easy to check.

A new IMRC is about $100.

if it fails, would it fail all together? or does it do it off and on.
mine is doing it off and on. i can not figure out what the problem is, but i do know it is one of the things in my previous post.

Yes & yes.

The IMRC is notorious for having intermittent heat related failures. Also the actual motor itself can work itself loose inside the box and cause erratic problems.

The cable comes with the box and is attached to the box on that end. The other end is awkward to install. I and others have found it necessary to remove the throttle body to connect it up. The throttle body is easy to remove. Still others said that they were able to get their hand down there and make the connection without taking the throttle body off. Even taking the throttle body off, it took me about 20 minutes.

Yep, pretty easy install, and worth the trouble IMHO PM me if you would like a place to get it cheap....

I will most definitely take you up on that offer if this keeps happening. Yeah, i have taken off my throttle body many times (UIM, LIM cleanings).

last thing i need is it going out while i am at the track or something testing. ><
