I don't know too much about computers, but everytime I am using Internet Explorer and doing anything, after about 5 minutes whatever page I am on, it jumps to horse-search.net webpage. I can be on CEG, yahoo games playing a game and get booted out of the game to this page... I have run spybot, adaware and the new microsoft beta spyware. nothing works. anyone know how to make this go away and stop messing with my internet?? Even while running any of the anti-spyware programs and scanning my hard drive, this page still opens up in the middle of the scan.
I have mozilla firefox on my computer but don't use it very often. i do not know if this happens using firefox, but i would still like to know how to make IE stop jumping to horse-search.net every 5 minutes. TIA.

have you run a virus scan? see if you can download cc cleaner and cw shreadder. if those don't work then what you might want to do is look in the task manager(ctrl+alt+del) and look at what processes are running. anything you see that you don't already know what it is is something you want to look up. if it is a bad program you can pretty easily find removal instructions. also, try running these scans in safe mode with system restore turned off. you can use this or this to determine what most running processes are. another option is to run a program called hijack this and post the results here where some ceg'ers will be able to tell you what to do next. btw, what os are you running?

Do a search for popnav. I had a problem awhile back with popnav hijacking IE and found a way around it.

I agree, Firefox will save you from alot of headaches. I only use IE when I'm not supposed to and thats while using mIRC.

I like how fast Firefox is (and the features it has), but it doesn't display websites correctly.
